Avril Lavigne ha compartido «I Love It When You Hate Me», el segundo adelanto de su próximo álbum de estudio «Love Sux».
La canción cuenta con la participación especial, en un verso, del cantante, compositor y productor musical estadounidense blackbear.
El séptimo disco de la estrella canadiense será publicado el 25 de febrero a través del sello DTA Records, de Travis Barker.
El sucesor de «Head Above Water» (2019), que marcará el reencuentro de la cantante con sus raíces pop-punk, incluirá colaboraciones de Machine Gun Kelly, Mark Hoppus (Blink-182) y blackbear. También presentará el single «Bite Me», compartido en noviembre pasado.
El mes pasado, Lavigne dijo que el álbum estaba inspirado en Green Day y que «es una carta de amor a las mujeres».
«Realmente volví a los sonidos que originalmente me influenciaron al comienzo de mi carrera», dijo a Entertainment Weekly. «En esencia, soy una chica de un pueblo chico que escuchaba bandas como Blink-182, Green Day y NOFX en la escuela secundaria, y aproveché eso».
Y continuó: «Es rápido. Es divertido. Es puro rock & roll de adelante hacia atrás. Hay muchas reflexiones sobre las diferentes relaciones por las que he pasado y dónde estoy, y aunque hay canciones sobre experiencias amorosas pasadas que no funcionaron, estoy en un lugar tan bueno en mi vida que todavía es simplemente divertido, luchador y ligero. Me estoy burlando de mí misma porque he pasado por mucho en el amor».
