El líder de Coldplay, Chris Martin, y la estrella pop británica Dua Lipa, entre otras figuras, versionaron el tema «Times Like These», de Foo Fighters, el cual fue presentado el jueves en un programa especial de la BBC para recaudar fondos para entidades que prestan asistencia a grupos vulnerables ante la pandemia de coronavirus.
De la canción producida por Fraser T. Smith, la cantante Adele y el rapero Stormzy; también participan Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, Sean Paul, 5 Seconds of Summer y Zara Larsson.
También aparecen AJ Tracey, Anne-Marie, Bastille, Biffy Clyro, Celeste, Dermot Kennedy, Grace Carter, Hailee Steinfeld, Jess Glynne, Mabel, Paloma Faith, Rag’n’Bone Man, Royal Blood, Sam Fender, Sigrid y YUNGBLUD.
Dave Grohl, el líder de Foo Fighers, se mostró «realmente emocionado» por que su canción haya sido elegida para ser parte del single benéfico.
Luego de ser presentado en el especial televisivo, el tema ya está disponible en la plataforma BBC Sounds y en YouTube.
El dinero recaudado a nivel local se destinará a las organizaciones BBC Children in Need y Comic Relief, en tanto que lo colectado a nivel internacional irá al fondo de respuesta solidaria de la Organización Mundial de la Salud.
