El cantante y compositor británico Sam Smith compartió un nuevo single, «Diamonds», que formará parte de su próximo álbum «Love Goes», que estará disponible el 30 de octubre a través de Capitol Records.
Después del lanzamiento de «My Oasis», con el inimitable Burna Boy, «Diamonds» muestra la voz de Smith en su mejor momento con una desafiante historia de amor vivida sin remordimientos.
El video contó con la dirección de Luke Monaghan («How Do You Sleep», «Too Good At Goodbyes», «Writing’s On The Wall»). Su trabajo en conjunto ha sumado más de 2.500 millones de reproducciones.
Sobre la base de las 30 mil millones de reproducciones que Sam Smith ha acumulado y el éxito mundial de sus dos álbumes -ambos número uno con ventas multiplatino en el Reino Unido y los Estados Unidos-, su muy esperado tercer disco «Love Goes» se dará a conocer el próximo mes.
Para el arte de tapa, Smith trabajó con el fotógrafo de moda y cineasta británico de renombre mundial Alasdair McLellan (Vogue, Kim Jones, Louis Vuitton) para dar vida a su visión.
Para «Love Goes», Smith ha pasado lista de venerados colaboradores como Steve Mac (Ed Sheeran, Celine Dion), Shellback/MXM (Robyn, P!nk, Britney Spears), Labrinth (en el tema que da título al álbum) y los autores intelectuales de Stargate. como su buen amigo Guy Lawrence (Disclosure) y el colaborador desde hace mucho tiempo Jimmy Napes.
Smith dijo: “Los últimos dos años han sido la época más experimental de mi vida, personal pero también musicalmente. Cada vez que iba al estudio, me prometía a mí mismo que dispararía para las estrellas y no tendría limitaciones. El resultado ha sido tan mágico, tan terapéutico y divertido.
