Los nominados a los premios Grammy 2024 han sido anunciados esta mañana, con Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, SZA, Lana Del Rey, boygenius, Miley Cyrus, Foo Fighters y Arctic Monkeys a la cabeza.
Taylor Swift obtuvo seis nominaciones, incluido Álbum del Año por «Midnights». «Anti-Hero» está nominada a Canción del Año y Grabación del Año, mientras que su colaboración con Ice Spice, «Karma», está nominada a Mejor Interpretación Pop Solista de Dúo/Grupo. Swift ha ganado 12 premios Grammy hasta la fecha, incluidos tres trofeos de Álbum del Año por «Fearless», «1989» y «Folklore». Si «Midnights» resulta victoriosa, se convertirá en la primera artista en ganar el Álbum del Año cuatro veces.
SZA lidera a todos los contendientes de este año con un total de nueve nominaciones. Su álbum «SOS» está nominado a Álbum del Año, y «Kill Bill» está nominada tanto a Canción del Año como a Grabación del Año. Hablando de Bridgers, recibió siete nominaciones, incluidas seis por su trabajo con boygenius. El grupo, formado también por Lucy Dacus y Julien Baker, vio a su disco debut nominado a Álbum del Año y su canción «Not Strong Enough» nominada a Grabación del Año.
El disco de boygenius también está nominado a Álbum de Música Alternativa del Año junto a «The Car» de Arctic Monkeys, «Did you know there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd» de Lana Del Rey, «Cracker Island» de Gorillaz y «I Inside the Old Year Dying» de PJ Harvey.
Olivia Rodrigo recibió seis nominaciones en total, con su segundo LP, «GUTS», en la contienda por Álbum del Año y «Vampire» por Canción del Año y Grabación del Año. Lo más interesante es que «Ballad of a Homeschool Girl» de Rodrigo está nominada a Mejor Canción de Rock junto a The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters y Queens of the Stone Age.
Billie Eilish y Miley Cyrus también recibieron seis nominaciones cada una, mientras que Lana Del Rey compite por trofeos en cinco categorías. En el ámbito del rock, Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys y Metallica recibieron cada uno tres nominaciones. El artista country en ascenso Zach Bryan también recibió un trío de nominaciones.

En el apartado de Mejor Álbum de Rock Latino o Alternativo aparece Fito Páez con «EADDA9223», la regrabación de su clásico disco «El amor después del amor». Compite con el puertorriqueño Cabra, los colombianos Diamante Eléctrico y Juanes y la mexicana Natalia Lafourcade.
Ahora, en su 66º año, los Grammy reconocen los mejores álbumes, canciones y música lanzados entre el período de elegibilidad (1 de octubre de 2022 – 15 de septiembre de 2023).
Los premios Grammy 2024 se llevarán a cabo el 4 de febrero de 2024 en el Crypto.com Arena de Los Ángeles. El evento se transmitirá en vivo por TNT para Latinoamérica (CBS y Paramount+ en los Estados Unidos).
